Reason #1: NO Permanent Internet Connection requirement

What makes Stitch Era Universal free of royalty is the permanent internet connection required every time you wish to use the software. This is how the software license is validated through our server.

This validation process, however, causes the software to "check in" with the server at various intervals through the regular course of using the software, particularly before and after some key tasks, such as any input / output routine (Open, Save, Import, Export, Print, etc), which may cause random delays.

Stitch Era Liberty comes with a USB key (dongle) which acts as the security device, therefore no internet connection is required to use Liberty. Better yet, without the constant online "check in" process, you are not subject to the random delays mentioned above.

Reason #2: NO Ad Space

Stitch Era Universal has a strip on the right edge of the screen dedicated to the typical ad space you would see in other free online applications.

While these ads do not interfere with the use of the software, they do take up some (much needed) screen space.

Stitch Era Liberty DOES NOT have this ad space, as you can see on the screen shots to the right (Universal on top, Liberty on bottom).

Your designs will take advantage of the added display area so much that, without this ad space, you will gain over 10% screen space for your main display area, and over 20% screen space on most rectangular left chest logos.

Reason #6: Split Tool

Stitch Era Liberty includes a Split tool that gives you more control over your design and art creation process.

This tool allows you to break vector objects apart by simply tracing a line where you wish the separation to take place.

As you can see on the picture to the right, the Object Manager shows the blue object as the original vector graphic, and the resulting additional vector objects after the Split tool has been applied.

Notice that you have full control over the remaining objects as well, for instance to change colors or move them around some more.

Furthermore, you can apply the very same concept to digitized objects too, so you can also break apart objects within your existing designs, regardless of vector art or not (see picture on the right).

Stitch Era Universal has a stitch limit of 40,000 stitches per design.

While this number accommodates most designs, at times you will encounter designs with more than 40,000 stitches.

As much as you may enjoy the benefits of a dongle-based solution, Stitch Era Universal still has its place, so you'd like to know that Stitch Era Liberty is fully compatible with Universal. What this means is that, when you launch Stitch Era, if the dongle is present it'll launch Liberty, but if the dongle is not present it'll launch Universal (again, internet connection required for Universal).

You can have a main station where you use the dongle-based Liberty, but other people can still use Universal on other stations, knowing that whatever they create on Universal you will open in Liberty, even in the DSG wireframe format for full editing control.

Furthermore, the USB key on Stitch Era Liberty allows multiple license activation, which means you can have Liberty installed on up to 3 computers at the same time (however, the USB key needs to be present to run the software).

In other words, this dongle-based solution is portable as well, so you can use Liberty on a computer during the day, then on a different one during the evenings & weekends, and yet on a 3rd one for special events, such as vacations and trade shows.

You will still be able to use Stitch Era Universal on as many computers as you wish, whether Liberty is installed on that computer or not.

    * Delivery of the Media Kit:

You will receive a box containing the installation CD, video-tutorial CD, printed manual and the software protection key (dongle). Stitch Era Liberty can be installed on several computers, but it can only work where the key is installed.

    * Autonomy, Independence:

After Stitch Era Liberty is installed and activated, the connection to the internet is not a requirement. If you prefer, you can connect to the internet only to receive updates through the Live-Update service.

    * Advertising:

It doesn’t show the advertising panel. Stitch Era Liberty increases the available screen workspace where to work, becoming a more comfortable operation.

Wireframe Editing

There are several ways of changing the object sequence of a design, for example from the tree view, by color, by index, etc.
